The Santa Catarina was a huge Portuguese merchant ship that was pirated by the Dutch East India Company in 1603.  It was filled with musk, Chinese silk, Chinese porcelain, and other valuable products originating in China and Japan.  The total value of the ship increased the Dutch East India Company's capital by 50% in that one acquisition.
